Alex Mendez Campaign Closing Rally

Alex Mendez is currently a candidate for the Paterson Board of Education and the President of the Paterson Bilingual/ESL Parents Advisory Committee. His Three major issues: One of the major issues is the massive dropout rate. Due to the dropout rate our children are on the streets, causing more corruption and delinquency on our streets. Second issue of importance is the lack of security inside and out of our schools. The students and gangs invade our schools with metal objects and make our schools system a dangerous place to be. It makes it very difficult for the children to concentrate and focus on their studies. Last but not least important of our worries is the low grades and test scores that our students are receiving in our school system. A perfect example of this is the results from the NJ ASK testing results: 4th grade Science state average for 2008 was at 85% and our district scores for this subject and year was way below theirs at 56%. He states these results are unacceptable.

Board of Education Candidate Alex Mendez (1A) closed off his campaign at the park Juan Pablo Duarte on Sunday, May 18th 2010 with a huge crowd of Paterson Residents, Leaders, Elected Officials and press alike. Master of Ceremony was Raffy Garcia and amongst the guest speakers were Commissioner Wendy Guzman, President of DOPOR (Dominican Political Representation) Ramon Guzman, Commissioner Pedro Rodriguez, Candidate for Councilman at Large Danilo Inoa, Candidate for Council at Large Maritza Davila, President of Costambar Softball League Yunior Fermin, Ariagna Perello from Essex County (which was also present with her mom Ex-President of the Dominican Parade & Festival of Essex County Maria Paulino), 93.1 AMOR Radio Personality Marcia Julian, President of the New Jersey Chapter of PLD (Partido de la Liberacion Dominicana) Victor Diaz, Ramon Ruiz, Councilman at Large and Candidate for Re-Election Rigo Rodriguez, Deputy Mayor Elsa Mantilla & Mayor Jose “Joey” Torres , leading up to the candidate himself, Mr. Alex Mendez. Paterson Board of Education Elections polls will be open Tuesday, April 20th 2010 from 11:00am to 9:00pm.

Alex Méndez es actualmente un candidato para la Junta de Educación de Paterson y el Presidente de la Paterson bilingüe / ESL Comité Asesor de Padres. Sus tres grandes temas: Uno de los principales problemas es la tasa de deserción masiva. Debido a la tasa de deserción escolar de nuestros hijos están en las calles, provocando más corrupción y la delincuencia en nuestras calles. segunda cuestión de importancia es la falta de seguridad dentro y fuera de nuestras escuelas. Los estudiantes y las bandas invaden nuestras escuelas con objetos de metal y hacer que nuestro sistema de escuelas un lugar peligroso que sea. Se hace muy difícil para los niños para concentrarse y enfocarse en sus estudios. Por último pero no menos importante de nuestras preocupaciones es la bajas calificaciones y resultados de exámenes que nuestros estudiantes están recibiendo en nuestro sistema escolar. Un ejemplo perfecto de esto es el resultado de las pruebas realizadas NJ ASK: 4 de promedio de calificaciones estatales Ciencia para el año 2008 fue del 85% y nuestros resultados distrito por este tema y el año estuvo muy por debajo de ellos, el 56%. Afirma que estos resultados son inaceptables.

Juramentacion de Comite del Peruvian Parade 2010

The 2010 Peruvian Parade, Inc. will be led by President Hector L. Delgado and Vice President Katiuska Esquiche. They held thier event at The Brownstone in Pateron, NJ on March 12, 2010. It was a wine and cheese soiree where many family, friends, community leaders, candidates for the upcoming elections and politicians gathered together to show support to the new commitee of the Peruvian Parade. Mistress of Ceremony was Maritza Davila.

El 2010 Desfile Peruano, Inc. será dirigido por el Presidente Héctor L. Delgado y Vice Presidente Katiuska Esquiche. Ellos celebraron su evento en el Brownstone en Pateron, Nueva Jersey el 12 de Marzo de 2010. Fue una velada de vino y queso, donde muchos familiares, amigos, líderes comunitarios, candidatos y políticos se reunieron para mostrar su apoyo al nuevo comité del Desfile Peruano.Maestra de Ceremonia fue Maritza Dávila.
